To the best Husband and Father

Brian,

My words will never enough describe my love for you. My actions will never enough display my love for you. And my heart will never stop loving you.

You are the man I always dreamed of being with. You are the best friend I always needed. You are the protector that makes me feel constantly secure. You are the provider that I never have to worry about. You are the husband that was perfectly and specifically designed for me. You are the absolute greatest gift God could ever give me.Read More »

The Priority In Protecting Your Marriage

Marriage does not come without the constant distractions of life. Distractions such as social media, entertainment, hobbies, and some of the more easily ignored distractions – jobs, money, children, bills, personal struggles/desires (sex, lust, pride, anxiety, etc.), and oneself. When reading the prior sentence, did any of those strike your heart a little more than others? Do you make it a priority in your marriage to protect your marriage from the distractions you personally face?Read More »

DIY Sliding Door

Owning a home built in the 1930’s comes with so much character (it was a huge selling point for us) but lacks in the modern appeal of master bathrooms and larger closet space! I’d like to think when two individuals get married, they, in their heart and minds, plan on putting their marriage first and living “happily ever after.” While this is how marriage is suppose to be thought of, it isn’t realistic without constant commitment to making your marriage the biggest priority in your life.Read More »

Staircase Remodel

One of our final projects for our first and second floor home remodel was our gorgeous staircase! Growing up, I have lived in two primary homes that did not have a second floor; therefore, having a staircase in our home has been such a fun addition for me! We even have two (the second to be remodeled at a later date with the basement)! Read More »

Our Entryway Remodel

I love sharing a place with my best friend who we can call together, “our home.”

Over the many months of renovation, we have worked hard on creating a place we could feel comfortable in that fit our style/needs. As my bare blog clearly shows, our home renovation came with many hiccups which caused many more months of remodel than we originally expected. One of the “easiest” and smallest areas of our home remodel was our front door entryway. When I first saw it during our home buying process, I fell in love with the character of the door, the charm of the mailbox, and the idea of a small area that leads into the rest of our home.
